Born in Miyazaki prefecture. Grew up in the mountains near Yokohama.
Graduated in literature from Meiji University and has a license to teach Japanese. Spent one year studying at the Emmanuel College in Boston and studied graphic design at design school. Obtained license to teach art. After working for a company as a graphic designer fulfilled his wish to work independently as an illustrator. Work includes books, advertising and also creating characters for children’s television animation. Loves creating animal illustrations and designs have been used on calendars and on TV commercials. Likes taking walks, snacks and vintage sports cars.
