I was born in Tokyo and am a graduate of Law from Nihon University and a graduate of Design from Tokyo Designer Gakuin College. After working as a designer, I began illustrating children’s picture books. I am a member of the Japan Children’s Book Artist Society and JIA. I have made numerous trips to the ocean and visited different islands while continuing to draw. My source of inspiration for drawing comes from the scenery and various climates I have encountered as well as the wonderful creatures I meet. I want to draw from what inspires me, and am grateful for all of the wonderful encounters I have had, and want to make illustrations to honor all creatures and people on the earth.
